Card Alerts and Controls

Easily manage your BHFCU debit and credit cards with the click of a button. Available in the BHFCU Mobile App and Online Banking, instantly disable and enable your card; apply merchant restrictions, set spending limits, alerts, and more.

  • Enable or disable your card. Instantly disable your debit or credit card if it’s been misplaced or stolen. Once you find it, enable it again just as easily.
  • Set spending limits. Decide on your maximum amount allowed per transaction as another fraud defense.
  • Create alerts. Receive information on specific transaction types via email. Be instantly notified when your card is declined, or a transaction over a specified amount is made.
  • Make merchant selections. If you want to focus your purchases or hold them to a specific budget, you can set alerts or declines by merchant types. For example, receive an alert when you go over your weekly allotted grocery budget.
  • Choose types of transactions. Avoid nondiscretionary purchases by disabling types of transactions. Don’t want to buy online? Disable eCommerce purchases.

Here's how it works

BHFCU Mobile App:

  1. Sign into the Black Hills FCU Mobile App and click "More" in the main navigation.
  2. Select "Set Card Alerts and Controls." Your eligible cards will be listed.
  3. Click on the card you would like to control to view all of the preferences and alert options.

BHFCU Online Banking:

  1. Sign into Online Banking and click the "Do More" tab in the main navigation.
  2. Select "Set Card Alerts and Controls." Your eligible cards will be listed.
  3. Click on the card you would like to control to view all of the preferences and alert options.
