Staff Spotlight: The Artist
Where creativity and a passion for connecting with people meet, that’s where you’ll find this small business owner. Pierre Member Experience Consultant by day and the artistic mind behind Flairendipity Creations in her spare time, meet Alexis!Enter the chaos, Alexis’s three rambunctious girls. Being a mother of three (including a set of twins!) has a way of taking up the free time Alexis once used for herself. Although she wouldn’t have it any other way, in 2023, an opportunity for Alexis to reconnect with her love of creating appeared in the form of her church’s Christmas fundraiser. She used her skills to create pieces for the fundraiser.“Creating beautiful things has always been my peace and calm in the chaos of life, even if it doesn’t turn out exactly as I planned,” explained Alexis. “I let life get in the way of my art for a while, but it feels so good to be back now.”
After picking up the brush again, there was no way Alexis was going to put it down for another seven years. In October 2023, she pushed past the nerves and took a leap of faith. Flairendipity Creations was born! With a mission to create designs that inspire, connect, and captivate, Alexis aims to use her talents to make a positive impact and spread a little joy in the world.“As I was creating pieces for the fundraiser, I realized it had been at least seven years since I’d even sketched anything, let alone painted,” Alexis shared. “It was at that time that I realized how much I’d missed my art and the joy that it brings into my life.”
While Flairendipity may pop up at a few area craft shows, Alexis prefers the made-to-order model. She most enjoys connecting with her customers to create something one-of-a-kind and special to them. This personal touch is never more apparent than with her horsehair jewelry. Having grown up around horses, Alexis understands how much they mean to their people. Between handwashing, air drying, brushing, and organizing the hair before making the pieces, these projects are a labor of love.

Whether it’s painting or drawing, home décor or jewelry, Alexis loves channeling her creativity into pieces tailored to the specific needs of her customers. And she ties her work back to where it all began, donating 20% of all sales back to churches and other organizations with similar missions.“I feel extremely blessed that people trust me to care for, sometimes the last remaining piece they have of their horse,” explained Alexis. “To return it in the form of something beautiful to serve as a lasting memory of their beloved animal is a gift.”
“I believe that art has the power to make a difference in the world. And I aim to use my talents to inspire more positivity,” Alexis shared with a smile.
