EmBe Selects BHFCU Staff Member for Women’s Leadership Program
Our mission to improve lives extends beyond our interactions with members to include making a difference in the lives of our employees. We encourage personal and professional growth and champion staff jumping at opportunities to better themselves. Enter Hillary Diedrich, BHFCU Member Experience Consultant. Her mission was to be selected for the next EmBe Women’s Leadership Program class. And she did just that.
“After a friend shared about the program’s impact on her life, I was compelled to follow her lead and apply,” explained Hillary. “Everyone is a leader in their own way, and it’s important to know how that can impact how others view you.”
The EmBe Women’s Leadership Program consists of six sessions exploring distinct topics, an all-day retreat, and a mentorship component. The goal is to empower participants to self-reflect and uncover their unique leadership narrative, using it to define their future as they cultivate relationships with a network of professional women.
As a Member Experience Consultant, Hillary helps get new and existing members set up with whatever they need. While primarily officing out of our Sioux Falls East location, she also enjoys lending a hand wherever her support is needed, visiting other locations regularly. With more than seven years of experience, Hillary brings a wealth of knowledge to everything she does. After taking on new responsibilities and projects at the credit union, the leadership program seemed like the perfect fit. Luckily for her, BHFCU loves to sponsor staff who pursue these types of opportunities.
“I couldn’t believe that I had been selected. I feel so honored,” Hillary expressed. “I am most excited to embrace the opportunity to forge new relationships and learn more about myself. I am confident that this program will be instrumental in achieving my personal and professional goals.”
Born and raised in Sioux Falls, Hillary is a South Dakotan through and through. She loves the beauty found from one border to the other. When she’s not serving others, Hillary enjoys cheering on her alma mater, the University of South Dakota (Go Yotes!), diving into a good book, exploring local trails, and challenging her nieces and nephews to Nintendo Switch competitions.
Way to go, Hillary! Congratulations from your BHFCU crew.
