BHFCU Executive Earns CCUE Designation
We’re excited to celebrate the achievements of one of our executive team members! Holly Jones, our Chief Administrative Officer, earned the distinguished Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation from America’s Credit Unions following completion of Credit Union Management School.
Holly’s pursuit of further education grew after earning her Credit Union Development Education (CUDE) designation from the National Credit Union Foundation. Her interest in Credit Union Management School was piqued by its unique offering – a comprehensive three-year curriculum that enhances leadership skills in all areas of the credit union. The coursework covers a wide range of topics, from financial-first decision-making and credit union advocacy to strategic decision-making and leadership building.
“I appreciate how the CCUE coursework provided the opportunity to dive into areas of the credit union outside of my purview, allowing me to become more knowledgeable and well-rounded in all areas of the credit union. With each year, I became a better leader,” Holly explained.
Earning the CCUE designation is no small feat. It requires individuals to complete two large research projects, pass three rigorous exams, and give an oral presentation. Holly not only met these challenges but excelled at them, graduating with Honors!
“Credit Union Management School is one of the most intensive continued education programs I’ve been honored to be part of,” shared Jones. “More than the three weeks spent in Wisconsin each year, we worked year-round researching and developing projects and presentations focused on past organizational successes and future plans. The practical knowledge gained has already been applicable in daily work with my teams.”
We’re committed to the development and growth of our employees. This commitment is exemplified by our pledge to send every member of our leadership team through Credit Union Management School. Our CEO, Jerry Schmidt, graduated in 2017, and two other executives are currently in years two and three of the program.
From all of us, congratulations on this well-deserved accomplishment, Holly!
