Changes to Mobile Check Deposit
To better protect against fraud, BHFCU is making changes to how members deposit checks in Mobile Banking.
Members will now be required to include:
“For Mobile Deposit Only, in BHFCU account # ___________”,
below their signature in the endorsement area on the backside of their check. Please write legibly and include your full member number and the four digit account number associated with the deposit.
Checks deposited through our mobile app without the proper endorsements may be rejected. To help remind you of this step, members will be prompted during the Mobile Deposit Capture process to include “For Mobile Deposit Only, in BHFCU Account #__________”
You can monitor the status of all submitted checks by clicking “History” under the Check Deposit tab in our mobile app. If a check is rejected, please ensure it has the proper endorsements before resubmitting it through Mobile Check Deposit.
While some checks have a preprinted box indicating mobile deposit, checking this box does not complete the endorsement requirement. “For Mobile Deposit Only, in BHFCU account # ___________” must be written legibly below your signature.
