Black Hills FCU and BHFCU Insurance Give Back this June
Giving back to their community, employees at Black Hills Federal Credit Union and BHFCU Insurance came together to raise $1,000 for the Front Porch Coalition this June. The donation will support the nonprofit’s efforts to provide vital resources to individuals and families who have lost someone to suicide, as well as initiatives to reduce incidence of suicide in the Rapid City area.
“We are happy to contribute to this amazing organization and the work they do to raise awareness for mental health in the Black Hills,” said Ed Starr, BHFCU Insurance manager. “Working together, we can all help to improve lives in our community.”
BHFCU’s employees also spent time volunteering with Black Hills Area Habitat for
Humanity. Employees helped put the finishing touches on a home, including painting, cleaning, and more, this month.
This August, BHFCU’s employees and members are participating in Community Action Team projects to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network, BHFCU’s 23rd
Annual School Supply Drive and more.
With support from its members, BHFCU’s employee-led Community Action Team contributes to and volunteers with more than 60 local, charitable organizations and causes through the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, every year. You can get involved with and stay up-to-date on all of BHFCU’s projects by following BHFCU on Facebook.
