Our passion for community service is backed by the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) formed in 2010 to provide financial support for our work. To contribute to the fund or learn more, contact Heidi Bulman at 605.858.6155.

We're a South Dakota credit union that steadfastly believes in the credit union motto, "people helping people," and we constantly seek opportunities to lift up our communities and neighbors. Projects in December

Black Hills Salvation Army
BHFCU is collecting holiday gift donations for the Black Hills Salvation Army Angel Tree program through December 15. Stop by any BHFCU location to pick up an Angel Tree Ornament with more information about the type of toys needed. 

Meals on Wheels
BHFCU is collecting donations for the Western South Dakota MEALS program this December. Community members can make a donation at any BHFCU location. 

South Dakota State Veterans Home
BHFCU Employees are collecting items for the South Dakota Veterans Home. Community members can donate toiletries, white socks, white t-shirts and/or small gifts (stocking stuffers) at at BHFCU location. 

Rapid City Court Appointed Special Advocates
Employees will be holding a special fundraiser for the Rapid City CASA this December. Community members can also donate at any BHFCU location. 

Hot Springs Kiwanis Coat Drive
BHFCU employees are collecting new or used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and snow pants as part of the Hot Springs Kiwanis Coat Drive. Community members can donate at any BHFCU location. 


Shop at AmazonSmile and Amazon will make a donation to the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund.

Jeans Days

Every Friday, our employees donate $2 each to a worthy cause for the opportunity to wear jeans. These are some of the organizations that have benefited from Jeans Days: Cornerstone Rescue Mission, Front Porch Coalition, Humane Society of the Black Hills, March of Dimes, Working Against Violence Inc., South Dakota Department of Health Offices, Wellspring, Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Troops Care Packages, the Relay for Life - Rapid City, Feeding South Dakota, the Children's Miracle Network, the Pierre Area Referral Service BackPack Program, and the American Heart Association.

BHFCU Charitable Fund

The Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund was formed in 2010 with the mission of supporting charitable causes in western and central South Dakota but is quickly covering more ground. Foremost among those causes is the BHFCU School Supply Drive.

The Charitable Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization and recognized as a tax exempt public charity by the IRS. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
