We're a South Dakota credit union that steadfastly believes in the credit union motto, "people helping people," and we constantly seek opportunities to lift up our communities and neighbors. Projects in September

United Way of the Black Hills
Our employees plan to hold a fundraiser for the United Way of the Black Hills. 

Cornerstone Rescue Mission 
Our employee are collecting hats, gloves, scarves and more for our annual Share the Warmth project to benefit the Cornerstone Rescue Mission in Rapid City. Donate at any BHFCU location now through Friday, September 30.

Alzheimer's Association - South Dakota Chapter
Our employees will be helping with registration and participating in both the Sioux Falls and Rapid City Walk to End Alzheimer's. 

Shop at AmazonSmile and Amazon will make a donation to the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund.

Jeans Days

Every Friday, our employees donate $2 each to a worthy cause for the opportunity to wear jeans. These are some of the organizations that have benefited from Jeans Days: Cornerstone Rescue Mission, Front Porch Coalition, Humane Society of the Black Hills, March of Dimes, Working Against Violence Inc., South Dakota Department of Health Offices, Wellspring, Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Troops Care Packages, the Relay for Life - Rapid City, Feeding South Dakota, the Children's Miracle Network, the Pierre Area Referral Service BackPack Program, and the American Heart Association.

BHFCU Charitable Fund

The Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund was formed in 2010 with the mission of supporting charitable causes among our communities in South Dakota. Foremost within those causes is the BHFCU School Supply Drive.

The BHFCU School Supply Drive is part of The Charitable Fund’s effort to give all kids in our communities an equal opportunity to succeed in school.

The Charitable Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization and recognized as a tax exempt public charity by the IRS. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
